Small is strategic
We stay small deliberately. It means you work with our senior people, always — not with whoever happened to be available on staffing day.
Escalino is a Copenhagen-based leadership, learning and innovation studio working across Europe and beyond. We're deliberately small, deeply specialised, and unusually invested in the organisations we work with.
Escalino was built around a conviction: that most of what's sold as "leadership development" or "innovation consulting" under-delivers because it mistakes performance for practice. We wanted to build something that starts from the evidence, respects the complexity of real organisations, and does fewer things — better.
Our work sits at the intersection of three worlds: the public sector transformation Denmark is known for, the private-sector innovation practice the Nordics have exported globally, and the development cooperation sector that both of those worlds increasingly depend on. We move between them because the best ideas rarely stay in one lane.
We work with a network of carefully selected senior collaborators — former civil servants, practising innovation leaders, development sector veterans, and academics — who bring domain depth to every engagement. It's a small core team and a serious bench.
We stay small deliberately. It means you work with our senior people, always — not with whoever happened to be available on staffing day.
We'd rather tell you something difficult you can use than something polished you can't. Expect plain talk in the room.
We say no to more than we say yes to. Every engagement gets senior attention because we refuse to take on more than we can deliver that way.
Designing a great learning experience is harder than most people assume. We treat it as a craft that rewards deep practice.
We're proud of where we're based. We're also actively international — most of our work crosses borders and most of our collaborators do too.
We plan to be around. Many of our client relationships span years and decades. That only works if we stay useful.
The best way to find out whether we're a fit is a short, no-pitch conversation. Tell us a bit about what you're working on and we'll come back to you within a few days.
